“My name is Ghazal. I'm 22 years old. I used to live in the village of Tal Azer in Shingal and now live in Esyian camp, a displacement camp for Yazidi people in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. I work for The Lotus Flower organization - my job at the center is to give awareness sessions about Coronavirus to people near their homes throughout the camp, as well as within The Lotus Flower center.
I give out leaflets and face masks, provide demonstrations, and sterilize the hands of the young boys and girls out playing in the streets. Without this initiative, little information would be known among the thousands of people living in close proximity to one another in the camp, about the virus and the ways to prevent the spread.”
