“If you must go, you must go in style. People believe we are going to the ancestors, so you must go properly. They don’t know where they are going, but they are going in style” explains artist Ablade Glover in talking about the Ga people's penchant for celebrating death with their elaborate fantasy coffins. This sneaker-shaped coffin was on display at Glover's Accra gallery, Artists’ Alliance Gallery.
