Landscape architect Gabrielle van Zuylen in the salon of her apartment in Paris, designed by Francois Catroux. Behind her is a gilded octagonal 17th-Century Venetian mirror above a small fireplace set into the wall. Beside her is a large vase painted as a pinecone, holding a flower arrangement. Her clothing, a black-on-white printed jacket and shirt with black pants, is by Ungaro.
