Galley with figures from classical mythology

The most magnificent of the seven crystal galleys which were listed in the inventory of the pretiosa of the Green Vault of 1725, comes from the Saracchi workshop in Milan. A number of different artists played a part in creating this precious work. The ship's stern is embellished on the sides with scenes from the world of Greek myths superbly depicted in intaglio.
