Gallinuloides wyomingensis

Real Fossil - Lower Eocene 50 Mya - Green River Formation Wyoming
The first bird species to be described from the Green River Formation, Gallinuloides spent its time foraging for fruit, seeds and plant material along the lake shore. It would have resembled modern day chickens and turkeys.
