Reiner Knizia designs games. The German-born resident of the U.K. is responsible for some very well-known Euro-type strategy games, including Medici, Samurai, and Lord of the Rings. The year 2001 saw his modification of an earlier game entitled "Fits." He called his new version "Bits," and it involves multiple rounds of tile-laying. Players win by scoring points for a color pattern which matches the current goal. The game won numerous game award nominations, especially amoung games for younger children.
