Toy safety has always been a concern of parents. Toward this end, some toy and game manufacturers made products that emulated riskier activities such as sports. The Wiffle ball is just one example. A Glens Falls brush company produced the Bristle Archery set and patented the design in 1913. Instead of pointed arrowheads, the arrows are tipped with brush bristles. And the target is one large round brush itself. This archery kit worked both indoors and out.
