In 1971, brothers Fran and Bryce Patch started their own commercial printing company in Beloit, Wisconsin. They built their business by printing products for other companies, including Trivial Pursuit game boards and Cabbage Patch doll sticker books. The company built success upon success in the years following--both designing its own successful game line and acquiring other well-known brands and/or distributorships such as Smethport Specialty Co, known for its famous Wooly Willy toys and the Lauri brand (known for soft foam toddler puzzles.)
Buzzword Junior is based on Patch's award-winning Buzzword game. Players have 45 seconds to solve a set of clues printed on cards, each of which contains the same buzzword. If "night" is the word, the clues may be "midnight," "nightgown," and "Tonight."
