Sid Sackson (1920-2002) is considered by many one of the greatest game designers of all time. A civil engineer by training, he devoted his time, later in life, to playing, collecting, and designing games of all kinds. His financial game Acquire was among the first published in the famous 3M bookshelf game series, and it is still in publication. Sackson first published his game "Can't Stop" in 1980. A favorite of many serious gamers, Can't Stop is a dice game in which players score points on a board using different combinations of the roll of four dice. Risk of losing space on the board increases as players continue to roll. They may stop any time, but sometimes, to take a chance, they just can't. Parker Brothers only published the game for a short time but in later years, other makers brought out new editions. Can't Stop can also be played with dice and a pencil and pad. In 2014 Gryphon Games produced an expansion for the original Sackson version, which dramatically alters the course of the play.
