Flitters is a unique game made by The Martin Co. of Massachusetts, and patented in 1899. A launcher throws tissue paper circles into the air and players catch them by poking a rod through their center holes as they float gently downward. There aren't many games similar to Flitters from the late 19th century but it does relate to other dexterity games such as Tiddledywinks and to more contemporary target and throwing games.
