A late 19th or early 20th-century version of "Pin the Tail on the Donkey," Pat and His Pipe is not marked for any maker. But the printed image and printed label on the box of game implements indicate mass production. The ethnic stereotype image of Pat--an Irish-American--is unfamiliar to our contemporary eyes. This game was made at a time when Irish-Americans experienced ethnic discrimination in America.
