The Star Trek television series and all of the subsequent series and movies that it inspired have, in their turns, inspired different series of strategy and role-playing games. One such series, Star Trek: The Role Playing Game, was drawn from the original series, The Next Generation (TNG) series, and several of the Star Trek films. FASA Corporation published Star Trek: The Role Playing Game from 1982 until 1989.
