In 1960 the Key Games Company of Akron, Ohio began a series of newspaper headline-based word games. Cards supplied with the game gave either scrambled letter or word-based newspaper headlines, based on a variety of subjects. The sports edition features headlines based on World Series and other event winners, for example. All headlines are based on real facts. The game was particularly aimed at groups, such as couples at a party.
