The unique Gas Lamp, also known as the ‘Fitzgerald Lamp and Fountain Ensemble’ was erected in 1867 in honour of Sir Seymour Fitzgerald, the Governor of Bombay from 1867 – 1872. This lamp with four fountains was moved from the East Lawn of the Museum in 2021 back at the Metro cinema cross-section where it originally stood.
