The Gazette of Madrid founded in 1661, would strengthen strongly as a periodical publication that would announce the news of the kingdom promptly and regularly, becoming the first publication of general information that appears in Spain. The Gazette of Madrid would stop publishing at the end of 2008 in its traditional edition on paper, since then it will only appear in electronic format, being freely available on the network.
