The book is open on a section of the manuscript which traces the genealogy of English kings. The volume also includes catalogues of biblical and ancient rulers, of archbishops of Canterbury and a Brut Chronicle is a medieval account of the history of England. The genealogical text is accompanied by diagrams, consisting of red-framed roundels linked with lines in green, yellow, blue, pink and red. The pages on display feature drawings of the northern English towns of York and Carlisle.
