This reduced-scale model was created to be a quarter (1/4th) of the original size in the early 18th century. This is a plan for a breechloading cannon with a vertical section, created at the end of the 18th century. The action of the handle enables the breech to be blocked via a rack and pinion system, which lifts and lowers a stopper block made from cast iron. No weapon of this type appears to have ever been produced in full-size.
