George Heard's Pocket Notebook

This small, red leather pocket notebook was used by George Heard, the youngest of the last of the four Heard brothers to serve in the family business, during his 1859 voyage from Paris to Hong Kong. In addition to ports he stopped during the course of his journey, Heard listed the clothing and other supplies he would bring to China.
