George Saunders

George Saunders was President 1913 to 1918
He attended along with Wally Weeks vice president and Mr H Drew Hon secretary the meetings in the 1917/ 1918 season with Waverley council that resulted in council granting the club permission to build the first North Bondi surf club which was located in the club current position and completed 3rd April 1920.
Sadly George was killed by the Flu epidemic before the new club was completed on the 3rd April 1920.
George was a Grand vice president of the United ancient order of Druids .
He was also Vice president of North Bondi before 1913.
