A marble bas relief medallion with a profile of a young boy (George Scott Winslow) created by Edmonia Lewis in Rome, 1866. The medallion is circular and carved in white marble. Around the medallion edge is a concave border with a raised rim. Incised text under the portrait bust reads "EDMONIA LEWIS. SC. 1866. ROME."
