How do we get more people to protect the environment?

We all know what is good and bad for our environment. Sometimes all that is needed is a stimulus to behave appropriately. Unfortunately, in the stress of daily life, the environment is not always the top of our priorities. This is precisely where the project "Ecotastic" from Fabian, Anna, and Ralf comes in. This is because these three and their generation firmly believe in a green future and want to ensure that our planet is and stays healthy.
"Ecotastic" is an app which is designed to reward people for environmentally friendly behavior. This is how Anna explains the application: "Users of our app take a photo of how they are riding their bike to work or are using a recyclable cup for their take-away coffee. By this means you earn points, which you can later exchange for coupons from our partner companies. There are also playful elements, a ranking list, and an analysis screen, in which you can see how many points you have collected."
Generation25 finds the app and the idea great. The comments in the #Deutschland25 discussion are almost head-over-heels with euphoria.
Sophie, 25: "A really cool idea, which can even inspire the environmentally unaware with small, effective tips and encourage a re-think!"
Franziska, 26: "I think this is an awesome idea! We should all concern ourselves more with the environment, and Ecotastic offers a great platform to do this."
The young people from Generation25 are not "environmentally unaware". They are thankful for any motivation and encouragement and are happy to be helped to make the right decisions in everyday life. In response to the question "How can we get people to protect the environment more?", Generation25 offered some clever, far-sighted answers.
Philipp, 16: "By bringing home the values and urgency of environmental protection clearly and by appealing to our senses."
Enderit, 21: "By making it clear to ourselves that our home is not just our apartments, but the whole environment."
Johannes, 24: "By consciously concerning yourself with your own impact on the environment – it all starts with the individual."
Marcel, 21: "By making it clear to people that our children should also be able to live on our planet untroubled."
"Our goal," states Ralf from 'Ecotastic', "is not to turn all our users into hardcore eco-warriors, but to have each person make a little more effort to protect our environment actively If everybody does a little, that has much more of an effect than when just a few do a lot." Generation25 has been on their side for a long time. And they have the technology to help them encourage all people to live their lives sustainably.
"Everybody has a smartphone and stares at it on the train. You can reach many people with an app."
The 27-year old Sofia authored a particularly poignant comment: "Once you start growing your own vegetables, you automatically start thinking about the environment."
The unbelievably admirable awareness and sensitivity of Generation25 is conveyed by their lines. They know that the road ahead also means being active one's self. So the only thing left to say is: "Get involved!"
