Atlantic Puffin

This diver is very clownlike, with its funny, multi-coloured face. This bird’s bill has a strange shape and it can also change colour! In the mating season, the bill becomes coloured. The plumage is mainly black on top and white underneath. They have short legs, neck and tail. These sturdy divers have short wings. When swimming under water, they use their wings as fins, but they are less suitable for flying.
