This is a ghanti placed in a wooden thalo accompanied by a rudimentary paatlo. The wedge at the bottom is pulled out to decrease the gap between the two grinding stones, for the grinding of fine flour. It is tapped in with a mallet to increase the gap and produce coarser flour.
