Giant Panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) group diorama with bamboo stalks and mountain scenery. President Theodore Roosevelt's sons, Teddy Jr. and Kermit, collected these pandas on expeditions to Asia in the 1920s. The group was prepared by Taxidermist Julius Friesser, background painted by Staff Artist Charles A. Corwin. Unveiled in January 1931.
