This is a large hairpin whose head is modeled after a phoenix. It was usually stuck on the rear section of the large ceremonial wig. A phoenix with its wings spread at the top of the hairpin is placed perpendicularly. The phoenix is made of plated silver-thread and lavishly decorated with kingfisher feathers, pearls, red crystal beads, and coral.
