All references to the art of the past and present are entered as quotes in sculpture Max Leiva, who adopts a personal reworking abstract, the result of a thought dominated by feelings and inner emotions. The materials used by the artist are varied; he uses the brass with various patinas, the molten bronze over which applies layers of ocher and green, while the monumental works devoted to sculpture directly on the marble and the lost wax technique.
Matter capture subjects as female figures, male (in the guise of lovers), parents or public figures that reflect universal suffering, joy, hope and prayer. He with his art does not hope to find a solution to the problems and the great questions of life, but simply intends to put before the viewer the emotions and feelings that are hidden in each of us to reflect.
This need to communicate indirectly with the audience marked a generation of contemporary artists.
