The sculpture, a head of a child with hair slightly ruffled on the forehead, portrays Giuliano Molossi, son of the journalist Baldassarre Molossi, who has dedicated some jovial articles to his artist friend Luigi Froni, whom he called "Marmoren", a nickname used by the sculptor himself. The boy's portrait has an almost impertinent flare, accentuated by the slight smile, the half-closed eyes and the slightly raised face. With skilful expressive balance it resolves stylization, physiognomic and psychological characterization.
