Since the source, if given, is usually العمدة, the present work appears to be an appendix or otherwise related to it. Twelve to eighteen folios are missing at the beginning. They would have dealt with Muḥammad and the first four caliphs, only then to be followed by the listing of the traditionists. The first article of the available list begins on f.1r, 4: حمزة بن عبد المطلب عم رسول الله صعم مذكور فى النكاح وفى الرضاع يقال له اسد الرحمن واسد رسول الله الخ and ends on f.31r, with ام يحيى بنت ابي اهاب الصحبية الخ.
