Description: Proof offered by the author, Jaʿfar b. Aḥmad b. ʿAbd al-Salām b. Isḥaq b. Abū Yahyá Shams al-Dīn, fl. circa 700/1300, that the opinions of adherents of the sect الحشوية (according to which humans do not bear responsibility for their sins because they lack free will, and so on) are incoherent. Since these views were defended by a Ḥanbalī, the author (after f.85r) chooses the above title.
