This image shows a page from a recipe book for ceramic glazes made by Joseph Bourne Wheeler of the pottery firm Joseph Bourne & Sons. His notes indicates that he developed a new recipe for the same glaze and that the old one should no longer be.
Joseph Bourne & Sons, based in Denby, Derbyshire, England, dates back to 1809 and originally made stoneware containers. Over the 20th century, the emphasis in products changed to tableware, and the firm is now known as Denby Pottery.
