Glen Eden Einbinder reminds us that “People connect to their name.” Rebecca Blandón traces Einbinder’s search for places and things that coincidentally are also named “Glen Eden.” Einbinder started this project by happenstance, after encountering a bottle of whiskey and a postcard for a sun club that shared his name. Since then, he has been collecting hundreds of sundry items—canned peaches, real estate brochures, horse ribbons— anything that bears the name “Glen Eden.”

Blandón shares Einbinder’s story as he explores eponymous sites and expands on how he came to the realization that his long-term project was a self- portrait. As his collection grows, so does a community that bridges time and place.

Rebecca Blandón (born 1994, Bronx, New York) Currently resides in Queens, New York
