Glenarm Castle in the late 18th century

An engraving made by Thomas Milton, for his collection of 'Views of Seats in Ireland, from an original drawing by John James Barralet made in the late 1780s. The view shows Glenarm Castle after the 5th Earl of Antrim's rebuilding in 1750. The new house has side colonnades in an Arcadian setting with walled enclosures around the house surrounded by a deer park.
