The research project "Globorama" explores new possibilities of navigable information spaces through innovative forms of representation of satellite images: By using the 360° projection environment (PanoramaScreen II), the viewers are surrounded by satellite images of the earth: virtually, the entire globe can be travelled around and at selected points can be immersed in a self-chosen geographical environment. In 2007 "Globorama" was shown as an installation for the first time.
