Goats and billy-goats, a rabbit, a leopard

Rocca Meli Lupi di Soragna

Rocca Meli Lupi di Soragna
Soragna, Italy

It is a fresco fragment realised by Nicolò dell'Abate. The leopard seems to have a human aspect. It seems to have the face of a member of the family. The inscription on the fireplace is for Diofebo II, Cassandra Marinoni's husband, who is said to be the ghost of the Castle. On the cover of the fireplace there is the Coat of Arms of the Gonzaga Family, from which comes the grand-mother of the present Prince. The silk paravento is coming from Japan, dated 1800.
