This is a biconical vessel with a high neck and sharp-ribbed shoulders. The surface is covered with black painting. The composition is divided into four parts. Two consist of double arches. The other two are painted triangles with circles with dots inside them. Crescents are painted between these triangles (horns up). Moon symbolism is one of the most common on the painted vessels of the Cucuteni–Trypillia culture. The Moon is the main astral symbol of the Cucuteni–Trypillia tribes. It is the embodiment of the Great Goddess. Most sacred images like women, bulls, cows, snakes, birds, and bears are associated with the Moon symbolism.
