These goggles were worn by Maj. Jimmy Doolittle during the 1931 National Air Races in Cleveland, Ohio. Doolittle left the goggles at a restraunt and they were subsequently found by Robert Carpenter. Mr. Carpenter returned the goggles to Doolittle in May 1972.
