From the shortcut, Brihuega has very good air, with its walls and the old royal textile factory, large and round like a bull ring. Behind the town, the Tajuna flows with its lush banks and its green meadows. Brihuega has a blueish grey colour, like the smoke of a cigar. It looks like an old town with lots of stone, well-built houses and stocky trees. The scenery has suddenly changed, as if a curtain had been pulled back. Journey to the Alcarria. Camilo Jose Cela.
