Gold cross, part of a pectoral ornament. From the Ionian island of Corfu. Made of pierced gold leaf with an applied filigree decoration forming foliate "cases" it is encrusted with gems and pearls. Similar crosses are also encountered on Patmos in the Dodecanese islands. 18th-19th c. (ΓΕ 29969)
