Gold medal won by Frank Beaurepaire for first place in the 440 Yards Swim in 1922. Medal features a life ring and two crossed laurel branches superimposed by an enamel shield (N.S.W.'s) with a white background and red cross. Shield at top of medal below loop attachment. Text in legend reads "N.S.W. AMATEUR SWIMMING ASSOCIATION". Reverse inscription reads "440 Yards / Championship / of N.S.W. / F. BEAUREPAIRE. 1st./ Time.5 Min 31 1/5 sec / 16-3-22.".
