순조 5년(1805)에 정순왕후(1745~1805) 승하 후 '정순(貞純)'이라는 시호와 '소숙정헌(昭肅靖憲)'이라는 휘호를 올리면서 만든 어보이다. 《조선왕조실록朝鮮王朝實錄》 순조 7권, 5년(1805을축 / 청 가경嘉慶 10년) 5월 26일(기유)조 기사에 시호와 휘호를 올린 시책문의 내용이 있다.
