Materials collected by Sophia Musbach Neth referencing her son's (Private Carl F. Musbach) death overseas and her participation in a Gold Star pilgrimmage to American military cemetaries in Europe in 1931. Private Musbach was a member of the 5th USMC Regiment, 2nd Division and was killed on July 18, 1918. He is listed as Missing in Action and is memorialized on the Tablets of the Missing at the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery.
