In 1934 Neath forward Dai Prosser played for Wales twice. After making his debut against England he played his second international match against Scotland before 'going North' to play professionally for York.
The road to Yorkshire and Lancashire was well trodden in the 1920s and 30s by talented young Welsh players travelling to the north of England to earn a living whilst work in Wales was hard to find.
Dai's brother Glyn also played for Wales in 1934.
This gold watch was presented to Dai by the community in Glynneath to mark his achievement of playing Rugby Union for Wales.
