Golden Circle canned pineapple label

This pineapple can label from c.1947 is an example of the early Golden Circle branding. The company was originally called ‘Queensland Tropical Fruit Products’ with the company using ‘Golden Circle’ as a brand name. It was part of the Committee of Direction of Fruit Marketing in Queensland (COD), but in the 1960s the cannery was established as a separate business. The company does produce other products, but the pineapple has been the heart of Golden Circle since its beginnings.
