Street View is technology that works with Google Maps to provide panoramic views of streets across the globe. It was launched by Google in 2007, and now covers 48 countries and counting. Street View trikes are used to collect images from places where cars cannot fit, such as narrow streets, university campuses and heritage sites. The camera mounted on the back automatically gathers images as the operator pedals.
This was the first Google trike to be used in Europe, and has photographed sites including Pompeii, Stonehenge and Versailles.
