Gopi Yantra, also called Tuntune, is a folk instrument from Maharashtra. This has a cylindrical metal resonator with an open top and base covered with skin attached to the lower end of a bamboo shaft. It has only one steel string which passes through the skin and is tied to the peg and the upper end of the bamboo shaft. It is held in one hand and plucked by the index finger and mainly used by mendicants and village bards.
