The painting presents a scene of Goverdhan Puja. This worship was performed on the morning after Deepawali night.The painting is divided into three sections. In the foreground a range of beautiful trees are painted. In the centre a row of cows and gopas are illustrated. Lord Krishna is shown standing in the centre of cows. He is playing flue. In this painting every cow is decorated painted horns, ornaments, sandal paste hand prints. The gopas are wearing ceremonial crowned turbans, jewels and holding colour full sticks in their hands. In the background houses are nicely whitewashed, elegantly decorated with curtains, garlands and flowers. Ladies are shown in bright costumes, ornaments standing by holding garlands in their hands.
