Body of a women's crinoline suit made from peacock blue silk taffeta and fitted at the waist, with long, shaped sleeves padded at the elbow, and low shoulders. The front is finished off with two pointed panels and the back with three—the middle one somewhat lower. The panels on the back are decorated with black, silk thread tassels with two rows of pins at the top.

The skirt is made of silk taffeta with a cotton warp, and is full-length with a waistband and flare all the way round. Made using seven vertical strips decorated with machine embroidered appliqués of black flowers, garlands, and loops scattered with small silver metal beads, all on the lower half.
