This toy is the largest station Märklin produced prior to World War II. A few examples are known to survive, however this version is the only one known to feature a pair of double doors in the central section. Made from embossed tin, the hand-painted toy station features two kerosene lamps, two working bells and a pair of working clocks. Lifting the roof sections reveals a richly detailed interior complete with a ticket office, waiting room and lounges complete with tables, chairs and a radiator.
