The Salon des Glaces in the Grand Trianon, one of the chateaus on the grounds of the Palace of Versailles, near Paris. The Trianon was recently restored by the Museum of Versailles' curator, Gerald Van der Kemp. This room reflects the reigns of two Austrian wives of rulers of France. The blue swags of silk that dress the windows and mirrored doors were made for Marie Antoinette, and a burnished pianoforte, made of Erard, was made for Empress Marie Louise.
