A private apartment in the Grand Trianon, one of the chateaus on the grounds of the Palace of Versailles, near Paris. The Trianon was recently restored by the Museum of Versailles' curator, Gerald Van der Kemp. This green room, located in the Trianon-sous-Bois wing, was meant for the staff of a head of state. It features a baldachin above the bed and a Serves bust on the desk. This room, and others, in the Trianon were decorated by Serge Royaux, who chose rarities from the royal chateaus and used fabrics that were specifically re-woven from old designs for the Trianon. The space is cared for by the Mobilier National, administered by Jean Coural.
